Some, may have noticed….

….and some may recall this;

“I cannot forget the follies and vices of others so soon as I ought, nor their offences against myself. My feelings are not puffed about with every attempt to move them. My temper would perhaps be called resentful. – My good opinion once lost is lost fore ever”

Pride and Prejudice vol 1 chap xi

Mr Darcy speaking to Miss Elizabeth Bennet

which was brought to mind by the departure of Disperser, who I seemingly upset, so much so, that he no longer leaves his facetious/caustic and at times humorous comments.

He did notify me by e-mail of his intent, hence the quote from P & P which I thought very fitting.

I have noticed, he does, seemingly, tick the ‘like’ box, but then this may well be an automatic reaction, lets be honest, it does happen without actually reading or even opening a post; we’re all probably guilty of that little  bit of dishonesty at some time or other!

No doubt we will miss his banter, but time is a great healer and we’ll all get over what’s his names loss to the comment section, which is probably the best part of this whole site, and who knows, somebody just might pop in, and proceed to take me down, justifiably at times, a peg or two, to the amusement of many.

There was one thing I had meant to ask him, and never got round to it, concerning a picture that appeared in my media library.

Now I’m not much of an expert when it comes to photography; I can use the snipping tool, and cut out a picture, and, with a bit of trouble/effort, get it into the media library. Sometimes when I reblog someone’s illustrated post, all their pictures get shoved into my media library. If I delete them from the library then it gets rid of them from the reblog; so now I just leave them.

The thing is every picture I put in is complete, but there is one in the library that is not and I have no idea how it got there, I certainly did not reblog the post in which this appeared.

Here’s a strip of the pictures from the library

media strip

I know it’s Disperser. Sans head and feet; I saw his post,

I certainly didn’t reblog it, so I’m wondering. How did this get into my library?

I suppose I’ll never know now!

The bear

Today we took Coco for some exercise, tomorrow I’ll do an update on how he’s progressing, with some pictures of his paw; sans toe. 😥

  1. I am going to miss the verbal to and fro that Disperser triggered.

You’re having some strange happenings with WordPress.

    1. Perhaps you can take him on on your pages, although being of Italian heritage you’d probably get on well, he had a thing about we English, likes to refer to us a Brits. something to do with ingesting SPAM in copious quantities I believe.

  2. I’ve not left nor had I said I was leaving nor do I drop likes in lieu of reading.

Just not had anything to comment on.

As for the photo, it is from my racquetball post. I know of only one way things get put into the media library . . . the person who owns the library puts them in there.

That they might not know how they did it does not change the fact that they did.

    1. Just my usual self GP, seems I overstepped the mark, which I thought I was allowed to do on my own site, goes to show I can’t be right all the time.

    1. I was on the District Line, mind I did have to transfer to the Circle Line to get to Liverpool Street, at Allget, Allget out, as the Cockney porters would call

    1. Silly me I thought you were addressing me as ‘my son; at first,

  6. Easy enough to delete the photo if you know how to get to you Media Library. But it’s not hurting anything by being there.

Looking forward to pics of Coco. Gotta be better looking than that pic of disperser! 😉

    1. I know how to delte them Susan, I can even put photos’ in in a roundabout way. I wish there was some easy way to keep them all in separate albums so I don’t have to scroll through 100’s pf pictures that i haven’t used. It’s a lousy mess, hate going there.

  7. Well…I read every word and don’t leave a like without reading everything. Maybe it’s the academic in me….you can’t scan anyone’s writing and do it justice. Not that I always enjoy what I read. So if there’s no like left, it could mean I just didn’t see it yet, or that I saw it and didn’t like it. Which is more than enough comment. I’m glad to see disperser is still with you. 🙂 And even better, you’re still with us! 🙂 🙂 🙂

Well, I like both of you…A LOT. You have both been very kind to me, given good advice, brought joy to me through your blogposts, etc.
The Pollyanna in me who likes happily-ever-after endings hopes the two of you can become friends again.
