This is the last time I’ll bore you with my ISP / NBN troubles galore. Promise! 🤡
The first pic is of a speed test I did back on the 19th November; if you look carefully you’ll see the letters TPG; this is the mob that bought out / took over Internode; the ISP I’d signed up with originally.
The download speed was a mighty 1.59; I kid you not, I’m thankful I don’t do much uploading 0.85? Are they kidding?
This second pic is of a test I ran a couple of weeks back when I was able to get onto the ‘net, Note that this is another TPG / Internode test, slight improvement but nothing to write home about!
The last is of a test I did yesterday / today /tomorrow (depends when I finish this load of tosh).
Note the new ISP, ‘AussieBroadband’, Note the speeds up and down, or should that be down and up.
Note also the ad on the right hand side, please don’t die laughing!
Good grief! I’ll never complain again about my ISP … (until the next time). You sure yours is even alive? Looks like some CPR is in order.

And I thought mine had been running slow!
My landline was dead last week but the Internet was still working albeit a little slow, frequently losing WiFi. Yesterday the landline was fixed from afar and I received a text to say it may take a few days for broadband speeds to increase.
Reading this post of yours prompted me to run a speed test whilst using the iPad. Later when I’m up and about I’ll try my PC. Still early here 07:00 AM
IPad result 35.3 download and 7.30 Upload.

If mine was running any slower it would be going backwards 😦
At least I’m able to use the thing now, and knowing the way the Internet now works in Australia it’s going very well indeed. 🙂

Well, I guess now I have to stop complaining about my speed!

I suppose you have a speed, somewhere in the 2 or 3 hundreds like disperser ; who no longer follows my ‘stuff’ ; gets in Hawai’i,
When it comes to Internet speeds, Australia doesn’t even rate 3rd world countries status, perhaps it’s because we are so isolated up here, in the Southern Hemisphere!

You’d think the satellites circling the Earth would take care of that.

I haven’t figured out how to do it, despite sending my plea to Ms Google. Fiddle-di-di, I’ll think about it tomorrow. Meanwhile, where is that corkscrew ….

Oh, gosh! 😦 Sorry to hear about this slow slowness! (Now I’m thinking about sloths, snails, turtles, molasses, glaciers… 😉 )
Ha! That ad made me snort-laugh! 😀

Is it wrong we always research internet providers/available speeds when looking at communities and houses to move to? (Not addicted, it’s just the business needs speed – we’d love to quit work, but are afraid the way things are going, we won’t be able to breathe much less pay for ourselves…not willing to rely on the government willingness to do so )
Hope they manage to reposition some satellites – but maybe it’s a good thing to be isolated?
(hmmm. keep trying to comment yet something weird…probably the internet overlords frowning over the content…)

Hadn’t thought of those damned overlords, perhaps a sacrifice is in order.
Wonder how the War office would satisfy….. 😈 👿
