  1. I can’t think of a better word to describe almost everything about 2018. Toxicity everywhere. Poisoning our government, our society, our air, our relationships … everything. Makes me wonder if I’ll live long enough to see the end of the ever-spreading toxicity. I’m so angry that it’s the world my grandkids are growing up in. They deserve so much better.

    1. Looking on the bright side Europe and the World was Toxic in the 1930s/40s but we got over that!

      1. Trouble is the lessons learned, haven’t sunk into the present day “leaders”; no point getting over something unless we’ve learnt by it.
And there’s no world leaders of today who were even born then, they only know the history as written by the victors.
        Us!

  2. Yes, they certainly got it right this time.
Like you I dread the future for my grandchildren, they don’t deserve what seems to be inevitable, the complete collapse of civilization, there are times now, when I rue the day, when I believed it was the right time to procreate. Couldn’t have been more wrong.

  3. If 2018 was toxic, what will 2019 become? Interesting read, and not entirely surprising in light of developments over here. Sad to say…. ๐Ÿ˜ฆ

    1. I do believe that it was the ” in light of developments over here” as you put it that was the major influence in this years choice.
2019 Who knows? Can it get worse before it gets better? Will I find out?

  5. Perfect choice for 2018 and for all those valid reasons. I fear it may need to be repeated in 2019
