Those of you of stout heart, that have stayed with me, have surely noticed my absence, these past two or three weeks. As you probably gathered, I haven’t been feeling the best. Then again I haven’t been feeling the worst either.
I haven’t been to the park with my Coco for so long now, I forget the last time. The War Office and our eldest daughter Sarah have been taking him for his walk and exercise. I am planning on going out, this morning, with him to ‘our’ park.
Although we are slap bang in the middle of our winter, the weather during the day has been quite delightful, with the temperatures in the low to mid 20’sº C the low 70’s º F with very little rain, less than 20 mm for the month so far, which is down some 150-160 mm.
For the past couple of years, my weight was has been a constant 65 kg, (143 lbs, or 10 stone 3. for those still on Imperial); in the last 2 or 3 weeks, I have lost 7 of those kilos, and try as I might, I have been unable to locate them.
I’ve gone back to drinking Guinness Stout, some afternoons, even managing to knock back a couple of 440 ml cans, in an effort to gain some weight, but to no avail.
On Sunday, I’m meeting up with my chum/mate/buddy. Neill; think that covers the lot; at the Old Vic for a couple of hours of convivial conversation;
which, hopefully,will get me back on track, and motivated, to start up on this rubbish of mine. Again!
Some good news, Emma is coming down for a few days, with her girls, and they will be staying with us; I am quite excited as I miss Ruby and Poppy May a great deal; not too sure about their mother though 😈
Brian, looking forward to our Sunday drinks at the “Old Vic”. Neill.

We don’t have flies in the Vic, Yvonne, it’s a better type of pub, much more suited to the dignity, and consequence, to we, of the nobility.
I had thought of taking pictures of my fingers, they are truly skeletal, obviously that’s where all the weight was lost; but I haven’t figured out yet, how to hold, point and press, the button, to take a picture of the fingers, that are holding the camera thing, if you see what I mean.
Perhaps my chum will do the honours on Sunday.

You got a spare room you want to rent? It’s 99º F (37.2º C) here at the moment.
Oh, but I guess all your gals will be occupying the space, and they are so much cuter than yours truly. (BTW, I’m sure I see a lot of you in Poppy May. And she looks just as ornery … )
Cheers!

I see a lot in her too Susan, 😀 which pleases me no end; and if ornery means bossy you’ve nailed it! 😈

It was porter that was prescribed to any one ailing or needing building up in the 19th century, and it was to be drunk morning, noon and night. The Victorians knew what they were on about. Even the most abstemious soul took to porter – first thing on waking, and last thing at night. So here is to building you up.
Your gorgeous granddaughters look a delight.
