Desperate measures!

A few days ago I opened my e-mail box and the first letter was from a top ‘blog’ writer and publisher, I made the usual pithy comment and shut down.

This morning,

I did the same thing, opened the box, noticed the number of items in the box,  shuddered, and took a desperate step.

I deleted them all 😦

  2. Hello! Social media has become too much for me lately, and I delete quite a lot of notices and other sorts. Just too much. There are many blog posts I’ve saved and mean to read–A Bit About Britain, Mr Cox, and others. I’m behind on Elouise as well. I am very glad to hear from you! If I had sent a message, you would probably have deleted that and all! But I may do anyway. Do take care.

    1. Hello Pam mostly my mail box has notices about posts I follow and the NY Times paper and stuff I need, I like to keep up with my fellow ‘bloggers’ and I’m going to make an effort to get back into it again.

  3. It is a great relief that you are still around. I went through the list of followers and marked them all so that I no longer get emails. All I do now is look at my “reader” and go from there. Except for you. Every week I put you into Google and do a search and then I give up. But at least “reader’ worked this time.

  7. Your loss. That letter from me contained my deepest, darkest secrets and my plan to take over the universe.

But it’s good to hear from you, regardless. I trust you are behaving yourself.

🐶🐶 Coco just popped his head in the door and said to say Hi 🐶 wagged his tail and went outside to bark at the neighbour 🐻😄🐻

  10. I have subscribed to too many blogs—I admit that! I enjoy them all, but once in a while I do a ‘deep clean’, and erase them all after just a quick glance. I’d like to have the time to respond to every one, but just can’t do it. I was happy to see your post, though. Haven’t heard from you for a while. Hope you are well!

    1. Obviously you came to the same conclusion as that bloke in Hawai’i; I wonder how that came about? I don’t recall mentioning any names, 😈

  12. Oh Brian…It’s so good to see you’re back with spunk! And that Coco is still with you. I’ve wondered about both of you, checking in from time to time just to make sure I didn’t miss anything. And if I thought you’d care, I’d tell you I’ve even prayed for you a few times. Because I have.

I applaud your decision to just go from here without carrying the load of having to ‘catch up.’ It can’t be done. I’ve tried it too many times, and it only increases my guilty feelings.

I also echo GP Cox above — It’s always good to hear from you, “no matter how testy you feel!” 🙂 Smudge sends his own cheery cat meows and purrs, even though you aren’t a cat person.

    1. When I was a lad growing up in England ‘spunk’ was a very naughty word that we only uttered behind a raised hand, the common English word for sperm, would you believe I’m still not comfortable with it even though my chum EJD disperser used it? I never use that word. Perhaps I should write a post on the subject, 🙂 GP is a good man even though he’s GOP and NRA I have a ton of respect and admiration for the man

      1. Oh dear. I didn’t mean to step in it! Thanks for the English language lesson…I think. 🙂 I can see why you wouldn’t be comfortable using it. Sorry….:( I think a post on it and other words we Americans throw around loosely might be fun to read–maybe even horrifying! 🙂
