To the few…

Please don’t think I’m being rude and ignoring you, and your posts/blogs.

I have been feeling somewhat unwell of late, and exceedingly tired to make matters worse. I’ll not bother with the details now. Β I’m just as likely to go into them when I’m up to it, and bore you to death.

My email box is chocker block, with notifications of all your posts, and I have a couple of weeks of the New York Times sitting there too. It looks a daunting task awaiting my return.

About the only thing I’ve done of late is change the look of these pages, again; when I get back into gear, I have to figure out how to remove my head from the top, otherwise another change will be in order.

Which will be a pity really, Β as I rather like this setup, like me it’s simple!

And the icing on the cake? All the rubbish in the right hand column can be shunted off to the basement. Actually I suppose that puts the icing on the bottom of the cake.

  1. Don’t worry about blogs. Just kick back and rest and take care of yourself.

  2. Sorry to hear. Here’s to hoping it’s but a short inconvenience.

As for the blogs, I would recommend forgetting about “catching up.”

From experience, I can tell you even someone who does not sleep much, is incredibly and amazingly mentally agile, and carries the deep understanding and wisdom of the world, yes, even I found trying to “catch up” after as little as a two weeks absence a daunting task.

I apologized and just picked up fresh at the then-current blogs . . . and guess what? . . . the world didn’t end.

    Take good care of yourself.

    1. Bit late now ej, I’ve already been catching up, thought I’d better check on this stuff πŸ™‚ But thanks for the advice, pity I hadn’t read it sooner! 😈

  3. Wise words, Disperser! That’s exactly what I recommend. Just rest and look after yourself. We will be here when you are ready.

    1. Who said Disperser was just a pretty face? I should have read his stuff before going on a catch up, bit late now. Thanks Diane πŸ™‚

  4. Sorry to hear that you have been unwell.
Want you hale and hearty and bouncy, soon.
I suggest you get Nurse Coco, or is it Dr Coco now, to minister to you, and get you back on deck.
wish you back to rude health, and quickly.

  5. Sorry to hear about that LordBeari. I was thinking you were doing amazing well. My brother never knows from one day to the next which morning he will be vertical and which not. It’s a huge operation one never truly recovers from (and yes – he is east/west to answer an earlier question of yours – as well as north/south up his back!). I suggest you take Dispersers advice and disregard catching up. It’s all understanding friends out in that virtual world of ours.

    1. That’s life Gwen, starts with ups and downs and finishes the same way. Pity I hadn’t read these earlier I’d have given the catch up a miss.:)

  6. The ‘like’ may be regarded as an expression of sympathy and not joy at your suffering!
I think next time I get behind I’ll simply pick up the current stuff but maybe add to my comments a request to give me a link to anything of outstanding brilliance or importance I have missed.

    1. Well, the first three years of my blog . . . oh, wait . . . you mean, in the future! Gotcha.

      1. I thought you might say, ‘All of them,’ and I was going to counter by inviting you to send a link to each.

      2. Actually, that would be easy. For the first two anniversary posts, I used to list links to my posts ranked by the number of views they received. You can get them from the dashboard, and you just have to copy and paste.

    2. Thanks Leslie, I’m with you on that ‘like’ business, I often wonder should I tick this or not.
Perhaps WP can come up with a suitable ‘Widget’ to take care of that worthy idea of yours. πŸ™‚

  9. I know I’m reading all these backwards, doing my own catching up. Nonetheless, I’m heartened by your reports. Not because I like all the news, but because you don’t sugar-coat anything and are clear about who you are and what it looks and feels like. All with your loopy brand of humor! πŸ˜ŸπŸ˜ŠπŸ’œ

    1. Never been called loopy before even if only indirectly like you did. I don’t think it’s loopy just typical English from the good old days when the English were like me.I hope there are still some pockets left there, hate to think we’re pegging out!

      1. Oops! Need to check my ancient urban dictionary! How about a bit unpredictable but still in the realm of sane–one of a kind? Now see….if you’d just let it be you wouldn’t have received this additional comment to which you must now respond!
