    1. I take it that one day is pretty much the same as the one before and you can expect the same again tomorrow, which is fine if you’re planning to do the same tomorrow as you did yesterday, in the Sandwich Isles.

      1. Just commenting on the fact the situation will be reversed in six months and you can listen to this song again but with a different outlook. As for me, this will is the first time in my life that I live in a place where the differentiation between seasons is pretty much nil. It will be interesting to see if I miss the weather helping me keep track of years passing.

        1. Very true, and yes I think you will miss the weather patterns. Whether you’ll miss the cold, ice and snow with any regret is anybody’s guess.

  2. Love the song. It’s by far my favorite season. And I’ve come to love winter a lot more than summer. (I can’t stand the heat anymore, and there’s no yard work in winter!)

    1. Lovely song and a beautiful rendition; we don’t get singers like NKC anymore, so long as you can hold a mike and scream really loud you’ve got it made!
There really isn’t a great deal of difference in the seasons up here in NSW, down south in Victoria and Tasmania you get the real thing when it comes to seasons; here it’s such a gradual change that it’s barely noticable, except at night time.

  3. I get to sit back and sweat all day every day – no matter what the season is. (And it’s getting tiring!!)

    1. Would you believe that I have no idea where in the US you are GP, I somehow imagined you to be stuck right in the dead centre of the country for some reason , I suppose because your reach seems to embrace everything to the N,S,E &W of the USofA and I visualize you as being in the middle & thick of things.
So, it begs the question, WHERE IS GP HIDING?

        1. For some reason unknown, I’ve never considered you as being even that old; you always strike me as eternally young and enthusiastic with a touch of sadness. Strange how one get’s these pre-conceived impressions and ideas about another 🙂

        2. I try to stay young, inside I feel 16, but I’m afraid you’re right about the sadness. Sorry about that, I try not to show it.

        3. Just stay the way you are GP, as I told PiedType the other day, ” You can’t improve on perfection”

        5. Don’t know about it being a compliment so much as a statement, a compliment from an Australian is rarely given. The highest compliment an Aussie can bestow is calling a man a ” GOOD BLOKE” , Equivelent to the Victoria Cross or Medal of Honor 🙂
I must admit that you’re a “Bloody Good Bloke”, which is just slightly higher again XD

        6. And how do Australians show gratitude for such a statement? (I don’t want to offend, haha)

  4. Our summer is arriving in very short instalments — offset by eager leaps back into winter. Swimming one day and huddled in front of a fire the next.

    1. Yes, of course I forgot; your seasons would coincide with those of tropical Australia
