  1. Actually, I take issue. As I noted on the other blog, I think the media hype the most sensational news they can find (or dream up). They don’t bother reporting on boring everyday Americans who are busy going about their boring everyday lives (and, I hope, still constitute the majority of our citizens). The media created the monster Donald Trump. It’s time for them to stop the foolishness, assume some responsibility, and expose him for the sick man he is.

    1. I think that’s probably true of any so called democratic society PT; I think donald trump has played them and his followers very well. There seems to be a few that are awake to what he’s doing but sadly they don’t seem to be getting the readers, or so it seems from where I sit, the media has much to answer for but who will call them to account? People like rupert murdock who just about runs the Australian Liberal Party (our GOP equivilent) our governent; has nothing to fear from them, they only give him more and more power, and the masses read his propaganda, and suck it all in!

  2. I was tempted to make a comment on the original blog, but as I have never been to mainland USA, and all (hmmmmm – most of 😀) the American bloggers I correspond with are perfectly thoughtful and enquiring people, then I would only be broadcasting my ignorance. But as someone influenced by books such as Grapes of Wrath and To Kill a Mockingbird, girls’ books about a girl named Donna who was a cheerleader and all round wholesome girl, and TV programmes such as My Three Sons, Father Knows Best, and so on, which was the media hype? That depiction of America as the leader of the free world in a caring and intelligent society, or the “Donald Trump mimics a well-known Fascist orator” broadcast? Will the real America please step forward?

    1. John Pennington from California I’ve been following John for some years and he is a voice crying in the wilderness, why he hasn’t a huge following is beyond me. I suppose it’s the Yankees fear of being called a socialist.
I recommend this blogger to you and I’m sure he’d appreciate your comments on his actual pages .
