Why the dark background

A grey background

I was recently asked why I did not have a light bright background to my posts; something a bit more cheerful than the dull gray that I tend to go for, well the reason is quite simple,

The glare from the screen, after a while, hurts my eyes (I must begetting old), and the darker shades are more restful to them when you consider the ridiculous number of hours I sit planted before my computer.

Many different backgrounds have been tried by me and I find the one I’m now using the best, the drawing at the top I cut, trimmed and pasted from a picture I found somewhere on Google and of course is a picture of Bow, (the church of St Mary le Bow can be seen, minus the steeple) from whence my silly screen name derives.

The story of my self inflicted , for want of a better word, ennoblement can be found somewhere amongst my blogs. But please dont ask me where.

So that answers that query any others I shall be glad to address, it was suggested that the dullness of my presentation accounts for my lack of followers, readers and commentators; but thats just as it may be and I shall just have to grin and bear it!
